Core Working Principle
The HERMetic UTImeter Gtex uses an electronic sensing probe and graduated measuring tape to determine the liquid level, temperature, and oil-water interface inside the tank. The instrument is connected to the vessel’s vapour control valve, after which the sensor is lowered into the tank.
As the sensor reaches the required measurement point, the system provides audible indications while the operator reads the corresponding level from the graduated tape and temperature from the LCD display. The sensing system provides ullage/interface accuracy of ±2 mm and temperature accuracy of ±0.1°C from 0°C to 70°C.
